TOURS AT LITTLE CITY FARM

Since opening our urban homestead to the public in 2007 we have seen more than 3000 visitors stay at our B&B or attend workshops, tours, and other events here! We are constantly astounded by the huge resurgence of interest we see from people wanting to learn more about homesteading and sustainable living.

Our tours are fairly informal, and range from demonstrating various onsite projects, to talking about urban homesteading philosophy.

A tour might include topics such as:
* urban homesteading
* urban agriculture
* simple living
* transition towns movement
* cob ovens & wood-fired baking
* strawbale construction (our home)
* passive solar greenhouse
* rainwater collection
* permaculture ideas
* organic gardening
* keeping urban chickens

VISITING LITTLE CITY FARM

THANK YOU for your interest in our projects! As we are a busy working homestead, we cannot accomodate drop-by visitors for tours. All tours need to be arranged in advance.

At this point we are offering tours of Little City Farm on the following Saturdays, from 3:15-4:30 pm, following our public workshops. Please call or email us if you are interested in coming to one of our Saturday tours. If you are interested in arranging another date, please get in touch and we'll see what we can do!

PAYMENT: SHARE YOUR HOMESTEADING SKILLS WITH US!
We are happy to offer tours of our Little City Farm projects free of charge. However, in the spirit of swapping homesteading skills, we ask visitors to consider bringing something homegrown or homemade as a shared donation. For example, we have enjoyed wonderful samples of homegrown produce, heirloom seeds, homemade wine, cheese, knitted goods, handmade paper, and more, that other visitors have shared with us!
